Sadly few full-length books have been written on the late Evan Mecham, his political career, and his governorship of Arizona. I can say with near-certainty that this is the best one available. The author, a retired Arizona judge, is clearly a Mecham opponent, but is not utterly unfair or unreasonable like too many of the existing books on Mecham.
The huge weakness of this book is not the bias, but the fact that much of it is unsourced. The quotations are attributed, but the statements generally are not. But as I said, it's the best of a very limited body of work on Mecham; so if you want to learn more about Mecham's life, political career and impeachment, you don't have much of a choice but to read this book.
